THE annual Rose Society of WA’s Autumn Rose Show is on at the Guildford Town Hall for the first time this weekend.
Society vice-president Sandy Beverley said circumstances had forced the show to move from a venue in Cambridge that hosted the show in recent years. South Perth was home to the show for 30 years previously.
“We have had a lot of interest in the show and the support has been marvellous. Guildford people are right behind us,” Mrs Beverley said.
More than 200 roses will be on display, including heritage varieties. There will also be roses for sale, a plant stall, raffle, refreshments and a gift and cake stall.
“We are really looking forward it,” she said.
The show is open from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday and 9am to 4pm on Sunday and entry is $5.
